League of Legends Rune Calculator
Here's a small application that was built in Flash Builder 4, making use of several features such as Mouse Events, XML ArrayCollections and List manipulation.
This app was developed to be a Rune Calculator for the game League of Legends. Outside of the game, there are very few methods that allow users to quickly, and dynamically setup customised Rune pages (a portion of the game that provides bonus statistics for a player's selected champion).
Using XML ArrayCollections, a large data set is stored within the application, allowing very quick manipulation of information, for example, cumatively calculating overall costs of a setup, as well as the total bonus of stacking multiple runes of the same type. You can also easily add new objects to the dataset, making updates to the application incredibly quick.
Making heavy use of Drag & Drop events, Mouse Over events, and defined conditions, the application also determines what types of objects are allowed in particular areas.
